How it works

Help in three steps

No app, no account, no membership card. One number for the whole state.

  1. Call or request a truck

MR. STAC dispatch answers 24/7. Or send a request above in about 30 seconds.

  2. We find the closest truck

We check our own trucks and our vetted partner providers, then call you back with the price and ETA.

  3. Help arrives

The driver gets you going or tows you. MR. STAC stays your point of contact start to finish.

On the shoulder right now?

While help is on the way

Four things that keep you safe until the truck gets there.

  1. Get as far off as you safely can

Pull onto the shoulder or an exit ramp, away from moving traffic.

  2. Hazards on

Turn on your flashers, and your interior light at night.

  3. Stay put and buckled

Stay in the vehicle with your seatbelt on if it's safe. If it isn't, move well away from traffic.

  4. Know your spot

Note the highway, direction, and nearest exit or mile marker. Or tap “Use my location.”

Common questions

Good to know

How fast can you get to me?
We dispatch 24/7 and send the closest available truck in our network, ours or a vetted partner's. Your dispatcher calls you back with the ETA for your location.
How much does it cost?
Your dispatcher quotes your price on the call, before the truck rolls. It depends on the service and, for a tow, the distance. There's no membership or sign-up fee.
Who will show up?
Either a MR. STAC truck or one of our vetted partner providers, whichever can reach you fastest. Your dispatcher tells you who is coming and when, and MR. STAC stays your point of contact.
Do I need a membership?
No. No membership, no annual fee, no subscription. You only pay when you use us.
What areas do you cover?
All 46 South Carolina counties, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Can you tow to any shop?
Yes. We can tow to the shop of your choice, to your home, or to our shop in Hemingway.
What if I'm on the highway at night?
Pull as far off the road as you safely can, turn on your hazards, and stay in the vehicle with your seatbelt on if it's safe. Give the dispatcher the nearest exit or mile marker.
