This policy explains what personal information MR. STAC LLC ("MR. STAC," "we," "us") collects across our services — junk-car cash offers, roadside/towing dispatch, the used-parts marketplace, the business directory, and the STAC-OS yard-operator platform — and how we use, share, and protect it.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you use our services, we may collect:

• Vehicle offers: name, phone number, email, vehicle identification number (VIN), ZIP code, and vehicle condition details.
• Roadside & towing requests: name, phone number, your location (see "Location Data"), and vehicle description.
• In-person scrap/parts transactions: as required by South Carolina scrap-metal law, seller name, address, phone, and a government-issued photo ID (see "Identity Verification & Photo IDs").
• STAC-OS yard accounts: business name, address, contact name, email, and phone.
• Business directory listings: business name, category, city, phone, website, and owner contact details you submit.
• Aftermarket parts orders: name, email, phone, and shipping address, to fulfill and ship your order.
• Automatically: basic device/usage data via privacy-friendly analytics (no cookies; see "Cookies and Tracking").

We do not collect or store payment card numbers — all card payments are processed directly by Square, Inc.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide a vehicle valuation; dispatch roadside assistance, towing, or a vehicle pickup to your location; connect you with licensed SC salvage yards; process scrap/parts transactions in compliance with SC law; fulfill and ship aftermarket parts orders; operate the STAC-OS platform and directory; and communicate with you about your request. Yard operators and dispatched drivers receive the name, phone number, location, and vehicle details needed to complete your service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Communications & Consent

By submitting a request (offer, roadside, parts, or account) — or by checking an SMS opt-in checkbox where one is offered — you consent to be contacted by phone call, text message (SMS), and email about that request and related service updates. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help; we may still contact you as needed to complete a service you requested or as required by law. Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

AI Phone Answering & Call Recording

Calls to 843-625-4676 are answered by an automated AI assistant, which tells you at the start of the call that the call is recorded. The recording, a transcript and a short summary are kept so our staff can follow up on your request and check the quality of the service. If you ask not to be recorded, the assistant stops and the audio of that call is not kept. To understand and answer you, the assistant sends the call audio and text to the speech, language-model and voice providers listed under "Third-Party Service Providers." You can ask to speak with a person at any time.

Location Data

When you use the roadside/towing dispatch form and choose to share your location, your device's GPS coordinates are used to locate you for dispatch. To translate coordinates into a readable street address, or to calculate routing and arrival estimates, we send coordinates to mapping/routing service providers. We use precise location only to provide the service you requested; we do not track your location in the background.

Drivers dispatched through our platform have their location tracked while en route to and on a job, so we can show live arrival status on the dispatch map and on the customer tracking link. This tracking is tied to active jobs only.

Identity Verification & Photo IDs

For in-person scrap-metal and used-parts purchases, South Carolina law (S.C. Code § 16-17-680) requires us to record the seller's identity. This may include capturing an image of a government-issued photo ID. ID images and identity records are stored securely with our media provider (Cloudinary) and our database, restricted to authorized yard staff, and retained only as long as the law requires (see "Data Retention").

Cookies and Tracking

We use Umami Analytics, a privacy-friendly service that does not use cookies or collect personally identifiable information. We use strictly-necessary cookies to maintain your STAC-OS operator session and dispatch/admin sessions (HttpOnly, Secure). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Third-Party Service Providers

We share information with service providers who help us operate, only as needed to provide our services, including:

• Telnyx — sends the SMS text messages, and connects the phone calls, described in "Communications & Consent."
• Deepgram — converts phone-call audio to text for the AI phone assistant.
• OpenAI — the language model behind the AI phone assistant; it also reads VIN photos you upload and assists our vehicle diagnostics tool.
• Cartesia — produces the AI phone assistant's voice.
• Resend — delivers transactional email (request confirmations, service updates).
• Square — payment processing for STAC-OS subscriptions and aftermarket parts orders.
• Cloudinary — secure image storage (part photos, vehicle photos, ID images).
• Cloudflare — content delivery and security/DDoS protection.
• Mapping/routing providers (including OpenStreetMap/Nominatim) — reverse-geocoding and route/ETA calculation from GPS coordinates.
• NHTSA vPIC — public VIN decoding for vehicle specifications (no personal data sent).
• Umami — cookieless analytics.

This list covers our primary service providers; it does not exhaust every vendor we use for internal operations (for example, staff alerting tools). Licensed SC salvage yards in our network receive lead and pickup details necessary to serve you. We do not authorize any provider to use your information for their own marketing.

Data Retention

Vehicle purchase and scrap-transaction records — including required identity records — are retained for at least 7 years as required by South Carolina scrap-metal and vehicle-purchase law. Other personal data is retained only as long as needed to provide our services. You may request deletion of personal data that is not subject to a legal retention requirement.

Data Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, hashed credentials, and signed session tokens. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take commercially reasonable steps to safeguard your data and limit access to authorized personnel.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data (other than legally required transaction records), and to opt out of non-essential communications. Contact us at stacholding@gmail.com or 843-625-4676 and we will respond within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for individuals 18 and older and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
