What we do

• Buy vehicles in any condition: running, wrecked or not starting. We make an offer, pick the vehicle up, and pay at pickup.
• Recycle vehicles and scrap metal at the Hemingway yard, and buy catalytic converters priced by serial number.
• Sell used parts and vehicles from what we buy.
• Dispatch towing and roadside help through our own trucks and partner operators.
• Run a directory of South Carolina yards and auto businesses, which each business can claim and update.

This is our only location. When a page says we serve another town, it means we pick up, tow or deliver there from Hemingway or through a partner. We don't have an office in that town.

How the information on this site is produced

• Vehicle offers come from our own pricing rules: vehicle weight, the day's scrap rates, parts value, condition and distance. A buying agent can adjust an offer.
• Scrap and metal prices are updated from commodity market data and what our yard pays.
• Trouble-code meanings in the code lookup come from an open, MIT-licensed code database. The causes and cost ranges on common codes are written by us and are typical ranges, not quotes.
• Yard and business listings start from public business information. A listing marked verified has been confirmed by that business.
• Guides are written from how we handle titles, liens and vehicle sales in South Carolina. They are general information, not legal advice.
• Software and AI: we use software, including AI, to help build the tools on this site and to draft some text. Prices, offers and published guidance are set and reviewed by people at MR. STAC.
