Do you buy cars without a title?
Sometimes. Under South Carolina law (S.C. Code § 56-5-5945), a car can be sold for scrap without a title only if the title is lost or damaged (or the car was abandoned on your property), it's 12 model years or older, it has no license plate on it, and it has no engine or can't run at all. You sign an SCDMV form in place of the title, and we check that it isn't reported stolen. Otherwise we need the title — call 843-625-4676 and we'll go through your options, including a duplicate title.
Do I pay for pickup?
Our own truck picks up within 65 road miles of our Hemingway yard. Farther out, a buying agent checks whether a partner buyer covers your area. The cost of pickup is already taken off the offer you see, so nothing extra is charged at pickup.
When do I get paid?
