Buyer Protection & Arbitration
Every vehicle on MR. STAC Buy/Trade is sold with a condition report β and we stand behind it. If what you receive is materially different from how it was described, you can file an arbitration claim for a fair resolution.
β± Your arbitration window
7 calendar days from delivery or pickup, or 250 miles driven β whichever comes first. Keep the vehicle unchanged until your claim is resolved. Claims outside this window, or on vehicles that have been repaired or driven beyond the limit, are not eligible.
β What's covered
Undisclosed or materially misrepresented conditions present at the time of sale:
Covered mechanical repair claims generally must exceed $500 to qualify β consistent with wholesale-auction standards.
π« What's not covered
- βAnything announced in the condition report or listing (βas-isβ, stated defects, or salvage-title listings sold as such).
- βNormal wear items β tires, brakes, battery, clutch, and routine maintenance.
- βCosmetic damage shown in the listing photos or under the stated cosmetic threshold.
- βAny condition arising after possession transfers to the buyer.
- βClaims filed after the arbitration window, or on a vehicle that has been repaired, altered, or driven beyond the mileage limit.
How arbitration works
This policy applies to vehicles purchased through MR. STAC Buy/Trade and supplements β it does not waive β your rights under South Carolina law. Windows, thresholds, and resolutions are applied at MR. STAC's reasonable discretion based on the condition report and submitted evidence. MR. STAC is a licensed South Carolina motor vehicle dealer.
