Bidding & Buying Terms

These terms cover registering, bidding, making offers and buying vehicles on the MR. STAC marketplace (mrstac.com/buy-trade). They add to our general Terms of Service. By registering or placing a bid, you agree to them.

1. Registering

You must give your real name, phone number and email. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. Licensed dealers must give a valid dealer license number. Dealer (wholesale) prices are shown only after our staff verify the license, and we may decline any registration.

2. Bids are binding

A bid is an offer to buy the vehicle at that amount. You can't withdraw a bid after you place it. If yours is the highest bid when the auction ends and it meets any reserve price, you have bought the vehicle at your bid amount.

3. Card hold and payment

When you bid, we place a hold on your card for your full bid amount through our payment processor, Square. A hold is not a charge.

• If someone outbids you, we release your hold right away.
• If the auction ends without meeting the reserve, we release every hold.
• If you win, the hold on your winning bid is captured as payment for the vehicle.

Any buyer fee, documentation fee or delivery charge is shown on the vehicle page before you bid. Those charges are added only if they were shown.

4. Reserve prices

Some auctions have a reserve, the lowest price the seller will accept. The vehicle page says whether a reserve is set, but not the amount. If the highest bid is below the reserve, the vehicle isn't sold.

5. Auction end time

Each auction ends at the time shown on the vehicle page. Bids placed after the end time aren't accepted.

6. Offers

An offer is a request to buy at the price you name. The seller may accept or decline it. An offer isn't a sale until the seller accepts it and confirms with you. We'll contact you with the result.

7. Buy it now

"Buy it now" is a request to buy at the listed price. We confirm availability and arrange payment with you before the sale is final.

8. Vehicle condition

We describe each vehicle honestly using our inspection, photos and any diagnostic scan we ran. Unless a written warranty is given for a specific vehicle, vehicles are sold as-is, with no warranty. You're welcome to see a vehicle on our South Carolina lot before you bid; call 843-933-4068 to set a time.

9. Title, pickup and delivery

The title status on the vehicle page (for example clean, salvage or rebuilt) is part of the listing. We transfer the title as South Carolina law requires once payment is complete. You can pick up the vehicle at our lot, or we can arrange delivery through our tow network. Delivery prices are estimates until we confirm them with you.

10. Not paying for a vehicle you won

If you win and don't complete the purchase, we may cancel the sale, offer the vehicle to someone else and end your ability to bid on the marketplace.

11. Fair bidding

Don't bid on your own vehicle, bid to raise the price for someone else, or use more than one registration. We may cancel bids or registrations that break these rules.

12. Copart and IAA brokerage

MR. STAC is an independent broker and is not affiliated with Copart or IAA. Some lots have buyer restrictions; we'll tell you before you bid. When we bid for you on another auction, we never bid over the maximum you set. That auction's own rules and fees also apply.
